Newman on social media measurement at SMB Toledo

There was more conversation, coffee and pastry when Social Media Breakfast Toledo staged its second event Friday at the Elks Club. We moved to a featured speaker format with Aaron Newman of Techrigy. Newman spoke to a full house of local social media fans about social media monitoring and measurement.

Newman is the founder of Techrigy and is widely regarded as one of the world’s leading database security experts. Techrigy SM2 is a versatile and powerful software tool to analyze online conversations. It also offers a full range of reporting options from high level reports down to fully actionable results.

We loved the information that Aaron provided and the fact that when prompted to show his company website during the Q&A session, Aaron politely declined the self-promotion in true social media fashion. Add value, share your ideas and the rest will follow.

SMB Toledo thanks the over 60 people who attended our event and also to our friends on Ustream.tv, including Connie Bensen, Techrigy’s social media manager, who gave me the snow update from Minnesota.

Look for Dave Rigotti at our June event in Toledo. Dave is an award-winning online marketer of over nine years, whose works have been mentioned in such publications as The L.A. Times, Techcrunch, Cleveland Plain Dealer and others. Dave, who was part of the panel for SMB Toledo No. 1, is also the owner of an internet marketing company called Freezing Hot.

Galen Bennett of Website Optics was the Elks Clubs room sponsor for May’s SMB Toledo.

Like all of us out there learning social media – and social media breakfast planning – we are not experts. We have staged only two events so far. Tell us how to improve our SMB Toledo events?
